The ASRT and its affiliates have a mutually advantageous relationship in that our goals and purposes are the same and that we are dependent on each other. The only difference is that the ASRT is national and international in scope and the affiliates are more regional, state or local.

The ASRT provides a myriad of services to the affiliates to help us accomplish our goals. Therefore, the ASRT is both legally and under a good business model compelled to assert a certain level of control over its affiliates. By virtue of tax laws, the affiliates are covered under the ASRT tax-exemption status. ASRT also provides grants for special affiliate projects and free CE approval for the affiliates; along with being a resource for other issues that affect the technologist on a daily basis.
