The Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists is proud to announce that we have updated the member profile section of our website to include ‘preferred pronouns’ instead of sex or gender.
We feel that this is in better alignment with our goals to be more inclusive of the broad scope of gender diversity.

On behalf of the MSRT Board, with deep sadness and heavy hearts we inform you of the death of MSRT Life Member and ASRT Fellow Joan Reed, RT(R)(M)(ARRT). Sue McClanahan has shared the following message and a link to her obituary can be found below. The MSRT will be sending a memorial to her family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
MSRT Board
"While on a vacation cruise in Budapest, Joan fell hitting her head and causing catastrophic injury. Her husband Keith and their daughter Kate, were able to be together to say good bye.
Joan was a very active MSRT member: Past-President, Parliamentarian, Membership Chair, and member of the editorial committee. Joan received Life Member status for her dedication to MSRT.
Joan was also active in the ASRT and became an ASRT Fellow in 2000.
She retired from the ARRT after many years and took up quilting. She loved her new "occupation" and had many quilts which she promptly gave to others. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Joan passed away on June 18, 2022."

Update regarding ASRT Directed Readings:
Hi Everyone,
Based on the results of the recent survey and comments from members, ASRT has developed a solution to provide printed Directed Readings again starting this summer at no additional cost. We have a few remaining details to sort out, and plan to formally announce this option on Monday, May 9. We will be posting this announcement in all ASRT Communities and as a news item on the ASRT website, as well as sending an email to all members.
Thank you for your patience as we've worked to find a solution to suit all our members' CE needs.
