The Minnesota Radiation Emergency Volunteers (MREV) is a group of statewide volunteer Radiation Professionals focusing on supporting population monitoring in the event of a large-scale radiological incident.
Become an MREV member in order to :
- Promote radiation protection and exposure prevention
- Improve radiation health literacy
- Enhance public health preparedness in our communities
As a Radiation Professional you can help continue to build the MREV group by joining to be a member at www.mnresponds.org
MREV is currently in the process of planning a couple upcoming MREV training sessions. The sessions will explain what members would be responsible for and also include hands on experience with equipment that would be used in the case of a radiological emergency. There are also several upcoming reception center drills/exercises. These are opportunities to simulate and practice a real radiological emergency response with other state and local agencies and community members. It is a great time to become a new MREV member!
If you have any additional questions or if you would like to attend the upcoming MREV training session prior to joining the MREV group please contact Jennifer Maaske-Swain at 651-201-3941 or jennifer.maaske-swain@state.mn.us
